Janat Paris & Ayala Group in the  Philippines have transported the Eiffel Tower to celebrate women’s Empowerment 

For the first time in the world an official ceremony is holding under the patronage of the French Embassy in the Philippines for the exhibition of the Original Eiffel Tower staircase which took place from September 7^th till January 15^th in Manila, a symbolic property of Ayala Group. By transporting this unique historical

piece, the Parisian tea house Janat Paris and the oldest business house in the Philippines Ayala Group are reminding the vision of making an extraordinary impossible mission possible in each one’s life.

“It is a great honour to share a piece of the French history and innovation with our Filipino friends this year on the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between France and the Philippines.”  declared the French Ambassador in Manila.

But the project does not end here. Janat Paris considers Thailand as a priority in South East Asia, and ambitions to bring this unique historical piece in the country. Janat wants to share its precious heritage and sustainable project with Thai people, and is seeking to leverage such a unique event in the country. เป็นครั้งแรกในโลกที่มีการจัดงานแสดงบันไดทางเดินขึ้นหอไอเฟลอย่างเป็นทางการ โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ ซึ่งจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 7 กันยายน 2017 ถึงวันที่ 15 มกราคม 2018 ที่กรุงมะนิลา โดยได้รับความร่วมมือจาก กรุ๊ปอยาลา กลุ่มธุรกิจที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดกลุ่มหนึ่งของฟิลิปปินส์และ ชานาต์ ปารีส (Janat Paris) แบรนด์และร้านน้ำชาจากปารีส เพื่อย้ำเตือนถึงวิสัยทัศน์ในการทำสิ่งพิเศษที่แทบเป็นไปไม่ได้ให้เกิดขึ้นในชีวิตของแต่ละคน

“Beauty and the Beast” Contemporary Ballet

One of the most important companies on the French choreographic landscape Malandain Ballet Biarritz, under the direction of Thierry Malandain, is recognised for its take on contemporary ballet. Thierry Malandain looks at Beauty and the Beast not as the stereotypical fairy-tale romance but as dark a coming-of-age story, an allegorical tale focusing on the portrayal of the artist’s inner demons through the Beast’s duality.

Explains Thierry Malandain, “Belle embodies the human soul and the Beast is its life force and instincts.” Portraying the ‘lost’ unity of human nature, accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s symphonic works, this version of the Beast, freed from his inner demons, marries Belle under a blazing sun. The sets by Jorge Gallardo are inventive and the Louis XIV-era costumes with bell-skirted dresses and frock coats in muted gold are truly fantastic.

The Johnny Walker Trunk Show

Following on from the success of the six Johnny Walker Houses around the globe, Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok will present the Johnny Walker Trunk Show for the first time in Thailand, affording whisky lovers a unique opportunity to sample and purchase a selection of rare spirits distilled by Johnnie Walker and John Walker & Sons Ltd.

The custom made larger-than-life luxury steamer trunk creates a highly tactile environment of leather, copper, marble, bronze, wood and steel finishing that brings to life the history, provenance and pioneering spirit of Johnnie Walker.  The show offers exclusive theatrical mentoring sessions which are immersions in the Johnnie Walker brand and product universe, through a combination of education, entertainment, storytelling and trial, led by brand ambassadors.  The trunk also features a tasting bar where guests can enjoy the pinnacle of whiskies from the Johnnie Walker Super Deluxe portfolio.

Whiskey Discovery Dinner

Johnnie Walker Scotch Whiskies and the legendary Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok are joining forces to present an exclusive Whisky Discovery Dinner in a Bangkok first.

Presented in the private dining room at Lord Jim’s restaurant, a maximum of twelve diners will be treated to a delectable four-course dinner designed by Executive Sous Chef Reto Weber, including foie gras raviolis and celeriac served in poultry consommé with fresh herbs; and Tarra Valley lamb loin served with rosemary, eggplant confit, fresh raspberries and black garlic.

Each course is accompanied by a premium whisky pairing, including the iconic J.W. King George V.  A celebratory Johnnie Walker range, J.W. King George V commemorates the first Royal Warrant granted to John Walker and Sons Ltd to supply Scotch whisky to the British Royal Household in 1934. Produced from exclusive ingredients from Port Ellen, Cardhu, Lochnagar and some very old grain whisky, this rare whisky took the ‘Whisky Of The Year’ award at the International Whisky Competition 2015.

Guests will also receive a bespoke bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label with their initials hand engraved on the bottle.

World Class Bartender Jimmy Barrat;

On 30 and 31 October 2015, award winning bartender Jimmy Barrat will take up a guest residency at the iconic Bamboo Bar.   A finalist in the prestigious Diageo Reserve World Class Bartending Competition on numerous occasions, Jimmy will delight aficionados with his signature cocktails, including a whisky-based ‘Japanese Penicillin’ cocktail.

Barrat is a bartender with a passion for creativity and a flair for the exceptional who continues to innovate and push the boundaries of bartending.  Born in Cannes, he grew up in his family restaurant where he found his inspiration from his grandfather, a legendary bartender, to push the boundaries of mixology and the culinary arts.  Barrat has since won numerous awards and worked in some of the world’s most prestigious bars.

Various Johnnie Walker drams are also on offer, including the iconic J.W. King George V; as well as a tasting flight of J.W. Gold Label Reserve, J.W. Platinum and J.W. Blue Label.

Celebrating its 80^th anniversary in 2014, the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK is one of the top Czech musical ensembles, and is the official representative orchestra of the city of Prague.  In Bangkok, it will bring to stage Vadim Repin one of the ten best violinists in the world today.

The acronym FOK reflects the orchestra’s original direction: Film – Opera – Koncert. The orchestra has recorded the scores to most Czech films of the 1930s; these recordings along with regular concerts and broadcasts on Czechoslovak Radio developed its reputation and ensured its prosperity. These successes enabled Dr Václav Smetáček, who served as Chief Conductor from 1942- 1972, to build the orchestra into a large symphonic body that was capable of standing up to very strong home competition.

The orchestra’s artistic reputation and prestige has led to and has been inspired by its collaboration with internationally renowned conductors including Sir Georg Solti, Seiji Ozawa, Zubin Mehta, Sir Charles Mackerras and Muhai Tang; and celebrated instrumentalists and singers including David Oistrach, Isaac Stern, Josef Suk, Arthur Rubinstein, Sviatoslav Richter, Claudio Arrau, Murray Perahia, Mstislav Rostropovich, Mischa Maisky and Renée Fleming 

Through its extensive international touring schedule, the orchestra has thrilled audiences and shared the richness of Czech cultural heritage around the world including at major venues throughout Europe, the USA and South America; and in Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Turkey, Israel, Oman and Puerto Rico.  Though it has grown throughout its eighty-year history, the orchestra continues to pay homage to its original purpose of film, opera and concert programming through its vast recorded catalogue of Czech, film and other classical music works.

FOK เป็นชื่อย่อที่สะท้อนถึงทิศทางดั้งเดิมของวงนั่นคือ ภาพยนตร์ (Film) โอเปรา (Opera) และคอนเสิร์ต (Koncert) ปราก ซิมโฟนี ออร์เคสตรา ได้ผ่านการบันทึกเสียงบทเพลงให้ภาพยนตร์ส่วนใหญ่ของสาธารณรัฐเช็กในยุค 1930 ทั้งการบันทึกเพลง คอนเสิร์ต และการบรรเลงออกอากาศทางสถานีวิทยุเชโกสโลวัก ได้สร้างชื่อและทำให้วงประสบความสำเร็จมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ด้วยความสำเร็จที่ได้รับทำให้ ดร.วาคลาฟ สเมตาเซ็ค ผู้เข้ามารับหน้าที่หัวหน้าวาทยกรจากปี 1942-1972 สามารถพัฒนาวง ให้ก้าวขึ้นสู่การเป็นวงซิมโฟนีขนาดใหญ่ ที่สามารถยืนหยัดอยู่ได้ในท่ามกลางการแข่งขันที่เข้มข้นในแวดวงดนตรีออร์เคสตราของเช็ก

The Malandain Ballet Biarritz, founded in 1998, has under the direction of Thierry Malandain become well-established both nationally and internationally. It is regarded as one of the most important companies on the French choreographic landscape and has forged a solid reputation for itself around the world. 

A visionary if there ever was one, Malandain has taken hold of this ballet classic, Cinderella,  with score by Prokofiev, to provide us with a very fresh personal vision of the  ballet. Flowing, brilliant, ethereal, often inventive and spiritual choreography mark the ballet. The remarkable dancers of Ballet Biarritz brilliantly translate Malandain’s magical and vision of this ballet classic. At the Taglioni European Ballet Awards in Berlin in 2014 Theirry Malandain was recognized as the Best Choreographer and  his production of Cinderella won him the Best Choreographer award in France.

Chaque année, depuis 1966, la Chambre de Commerce Franco-Thaïe (CCFT) a le plaisir d’inviter ses sociétés membres et leurs partenaires privilégiés à la soirée de gala annuelle. Cet événement de prestige, offrant d’excellentes opportunités de réseautage, constitue une vitrine de la France en Thaïlande et réunit près de 500 personnes : chefs d’entreprises, hommes politiques, célébrités françaises et thaïlandaises, journalistes…La CCFT propose aux convives un programme en 3 parties : un dîner gastronomique, un spectacle avec des artistes de renom et une tombola.

Cette édition 2015 aura pour thème « La Nuit de la Lumière » et proposera un spectacle mettant en scène les nouvelles techniques de la lumière comme le mapping vidéo ou encore des danseurs et mimes en costume LED.

La soirée de Gala de la Chambre de Commerce Franco-Thaïe aura lieu le mardi 20 octobre 2015 à l’hôtel Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, à partir de 18h00, en présence de l’Ambassadeur de France en Thaïlande, Son Excellence Monsieur Gilles Garachon. Samara State Symphony Orchestra is known for its  impeccable performance traditions. Reputable musicians like  A. Eichenwald, I. Zak, N. Shkarovsky, S. Bergholz, I. Aizikovich, L. Ossovsky and M. Rostropovich have led the orchestra as conductors.

One of the brightest moments in the orchestra’s life was when it worked with maestro Mstislav Rostropovich on the world premiere of S. Slonimsky’s opera “Ioann the Terrible’s Vision” (1999). The orchestra counts among its ranks several laureates of international competitions and performs the music of various époques and styles.

The Orchestra has several regular concert programs, including ‘Baroque Masterpieces’ and Seventh & Fourteenth Symphonies by D. Shostakovich among others. Talented conductors that work with the orchestra include maestros Alexander Anissimov, Eugene Khokhlov, Alexander Shameev and Boris Benkogenov.

Kanjana Chonsiri and Alexandre Poisson, the two students selected in 2015 for the exchange program between the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts of Silpakorn University and Paris’ National School of Fine Arts (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris – ENSBA) present the works they created during their crossed residencies of three months in France and Thailand.

Through their own perspective, Kanjana Chonsiri and Alexandre Poisson have established an artistic dialogue, a plastic testimony of their experiences and meetings, lived by both, in each country.

Kanjana Chonsiri et Alexandre Poisson, les deux étudiants sélectionnés en 2015 dans le cadre du programme d’échanges entre la Faculté de Peinture, de Sculpture et d’Arts graphiques de l’Université Silpakorn et l’Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris (ENSBA), exposent le fruit de leur travail, réalisé durant leur séjour d’études de trois mois en France et en Thaïlande.
