The Malandain Ballet Biarritz, founded in 1998, has under the direction of Thierry Malandain become well-established both nationally and internationally. It is regarded as one of the most important companies on the French choreographic landscape and has forged a solid reputation for itself around the world. 

A visionary if there ever was one, Malandain has taken hold of this ballet classic, Cinderella,  with score by Prokofiev, to provide us with a very fresh personal vision of the  ballet. Flowing, brilliant, ethereal, often inventive and spiritual choreography mark the ballet. The remarkable dancers of Ballet Biarritz brilliantly translate Malandain’s magical and vision of this ballet classic. At the Taglioni European Ballet Awards in Berlin in 2014 Theirry Malandain was recognized as the Best Choreographer and  his production of Cinderella won him the Best Choreographer award in France.

ด้วยความเป็นคนช่างจินตนาการ มาลองแดนได้นำเสนอผลงานบัลเลต์คลาสสิกเรื่อง Cinderella พร้อมดนตรีประกอบของโปรโคเฟียฟ เพื่อนำเสนอผู้ชมด้วยมุมมองของบัลเลต์ที่สดใหม่ ทั้งไหลลื่น สดใส อ่อนช้อย และบ่อยครั้งที่เป็นท่าเต้นที่สร้างสรรค์ขึ้นด้วยจิตวิญญาณและสัญลักษณ์ของบัลเลต์ เหล่านักเต้นผู้มากความสามารถของคณะบัลเลต์ เบียร์ริตซ์ ได้ถ่ายทอดความมหัศจรรย์และมุมมองของมาลองแดนที่มีต่อบัลเลต์คลาสสิกได้อย่างแพรวพราว ในงานมอบรางวัล Taglioni European Ballet Awards ซึ่งจัดขึ้นที่กรุงเบอร์ลินในปี 2014 เธียร์รี มาลองแดน ได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็นนักออกแบบท่าเต้นยอดเยี่ยม ขณะเดียวกัน ผลงานเรื่อง Cinderella ของเขา ก็ได้รับรางวัลในสาขาออกแบบท่าเต้นยอดเยี่ยมในฝรั่งเศสเช่นกัน
