Following the successful launch of its first Poulet-Frites Night on 24 June 2026, VIVIN SUK 22 is proud to introduce a new recurring monthly dining event inspired by one of France’s most beloved bistro traditions.

Typically taking place every 2nd Friday evening of each month throughout the year, Poulet-Frites Night celebrates the simple pleasures of great ingredients, generous hospitality, and communal dining. Guests are invited to enjoy unlimited servings of VIVIN’s free-range organic roasted chicken, crispy homemade duck-fat fries, rich homemade chicken gravy jus, and a serve of organic green salad for just THB 690 net per person.

Popular throughout France and Belgium, poulet-frites is a timeless classic found in neighbourhood bistros and family dining tables alike. At VIVIN, the concept is reimagined using carefully sourced local ingredients and the restaurant’s commitment to supporting ethical, sustainable agriculture.

At the heart of the evening is the organic, pasture-raised chicken, sourced from a regenerative farm in northern Thailand, where animal welfare and sustainable farming are central to every practice. Raised with plenty of space to roam and fed exclusively on certified organic ingredients, the chickens produce exceptionally tender, juicy and flavourful meat. The result is a product that reflects VIVIN’s commitment to ethical farming and supporting local producers. Staying true to the restaurant’s shelf-to-plate philosophy, the organic chicken is also available from the VIVIN grocery for guests wishing to recreate the experience at home.

VIVIN SUK 22’s duck-fat fries are among the best in Bangkok. Some guests even book the special nights the moment they hear the fries are on the menu. Made with organic local potatoes, hand-cut and double-fried in their own duck fat, they are extraordinarily crisp, deeply savoury and seriously more-ish, finished with a light sprinkle of fleur de sel from Phetchaburi. Staying true to VIVIN’s shelf-to-plate culture, the organic potatoes, duck fat, salt, seasonings and many of the other ingredients featured on the menu are also available from our grocery to take home.

New Monthly Moules-Frites Night at VIVIN Suk 22 Launches With Valentine’s Special this 13th and 14th February An All-You-Can-Eat Mussels & Fries Experience for February

VIVIN, the restaurant-grocery brand synonymous with natural, local, and artisanal, is introducing a new recurring monthly special, a well-loved Belgian-French dish, “Moules-Frites.”

Moules-Frites is a classic Belgian-French dish of steamed mussels, typically cooked in white wine with garlic and herbs or beer. It’s served with crispy golden fries for dipping into the rich, aromatic broth, and enjoyed with a chilled beer.

This Valentine’s season, VIVIN Suk 22 at VIVIN Sukhumvit 22 invites guests to step away from predictable candle-lit dinners and into a more indulgent, convivial celebration of food. Moules-Frites Night at VIVIN Suk 22 will take place over two nights, Friday 13 (Valentine’s Eve) and Saturday 14 February (Valentine’s Day), from 6:00–9:00 PM.

Designed for couples, friends, and anyone who would rather savour Valentine’s Day over three hours of all-you-can-eat steaming pots of freshly prepared, hand-picked local Thai green mussels, the experience is paired with homemade, hand-cut fries made from local organic potatoes, fried in duck fat.

The event will be held across the second and third floors of VIVIN’s newest location, a renovated heritage wooden home that has quickly become a destination for cultural site lovers, featuring photogenic, cosy corners filled with Thai vintage artefacts.

Drawing inspiration from the traditional Belgian-French moules-frites, VIVIN’s version highlights quality sourcing and thoughtful preparation but with a Thai twist. The Mussels are served in traditional Thai baking pots “mhor ob” (หม้ออบ), accompanied by fries made from organic local potatoes, hand-cut and cooked in small batches in duck fat for depth and richness.

Guests may enjoy their mussels prepared in a selection of house styles, including:

• Mussels “Marinières” (white wine)

• Mussels “Marinières & crème” (white wine & cream)

• Beer-cooked mussels

  All recipes are prepared with sautéed onions, garlic, butter, parsley, and a subtle touch of Trang pepper, allowing the natural sweetness of the mussels to shine.

To mark the occasion, each couple (pair) booking will receive one complimentary local Thai craft beer, courtesy of Chiang Mai Beer, adding a celebratory touch to the evening.

Bangkok’s fur families found a new favorite weekend spot with the successful launch of “Dog Day Afternoon” at VIVIN Suk 22 – café grocery bistro last October.

The event brought together dog owners, families, and pet lovers for a relaxed and lively afternoon filled with wagging tails, friendly conversations, and community spirit — all within VIVIN’s charming three-storey pet-friendly wooden house in Sukhumvit 22.

Visitors enjoyed complimentary Pup-uchinos and dog-friendly cheese platters from Dogkery, Bangkok’s beloved artisan dog bakery known for its wholesome, all-natural treats. Pet parents explored curated stalls featuring handmade accessories, toys, and local pet products while mingling over coffee, sandwiches, and VIVIN’s signature artisanal bites.

The following editions will feature a doggy ‘expert’, whether that’s a trained vet or doggy trainer, guests may benefit from friendly and casual consultation and advice as the doggy expert floats through the 3 floors. The response was overwhelmingly positive — with guests praising the cosy atmosphere, thoughtful setup, and VIVIN’s warm welcome to pets both indoors and outdoors.

“We were thrilled to see so many happy dogs and owners enjoying the space,” shared the VIVIN team. “Dog Day Afternoon is about community — creating a safe, joyful place for people and pets to connect.”

The next Dog Day Afternoon will take place on Saturday, 29 November 2025, continuing its mission to celebrate dogs, owners, and all things paw-some. After nearly five years of silence, the handcrafted wooden structure — rich with vintage charm, Thai antiques, and soulful design — returns with a new purpose, thanks to a serendipitous connection of the VIVIN founders and the original property’s owner, K.Somchet and his family. The meeting sparked a shared vision to restore the space with care, honouring its unique past while breathing in fresh culinary, creative energy with VIVIN’s touch of modernity.

“For years, we drove past this location and were always struck by the craftsmanship and energy of this space. How can there be an antique wooden house in the middle of the city centre?! says co-founder Nicolas Vivin. “It felt like walking into a forgotten Thai storybook and reminded me in some ways of my family’s Chalet in the French Alps, where I spent my childhood. It was impossible not to want to bring it to life again — with integrity, care, and purpose.”

While the core VIVIN experience remains — showcasing natural, artisanal Thai products through its “shelf to plate” grocery, café, and bistro menus — what sets Suk 22 apart is the space itself. The house, constructed from reclaimed wood, including a wealth of aged teak, is filled with handpicked antiques, original fixtures, and photogenic corners that nod to the legacy of Suk 11. Blended with VIVIN’s European–French accents, some have even described it as a “Thai Chalet.” Guests can explore, dine, and shop within its warm wooden walls, absorbing the spirit of Bangkok’s past in a setting thoughtfully adapted for today.

The ground floor welcomes guests with their signature café-grocery vibes, besides an airy terrace with al-fresco seating nestled among luscious plants, a grocery of curated local delicacies, and ready-to-eat “Shelf to Plate” dishes such as Thai cheese platters, natural drinks, homemade sandwiches, and fluffy soufflé omelettes — all set against a backdrop of muted greens, black and white photos of VIVIN’s history set amongst Thai-Chinese eclecticism.

Upstairs, the second floor unfolds into a Thai speakeasy-library. A vintage-styled sanctuary with low beams, mood lighting, lamps, communal wooden tables, a collection of heirloom encyclopedias, nostalgic cookbooks, collectible art & design magazines, and a ready-to-go bar for private dinners, chef’s table, tastings, or workshops.

The third-floor mezzanine opens onto a leafy balcony lounge — a haven for art and music lovers overlooking Sukhumvit 22.
