Classic film music themes and songs will be presented by stars from London’s West End Theatreland. Experienced conductor Roderick Dunk will direct the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, with the guest soloists Robyn North and David Shannon, bringing life to an amazing variety of favorite tunes from French and American movies.

For La Fête, the first part of the concert will pay tribute to the famous French composers: Michel Legrand with Summer 42, Un Homme et une Femme theme, Windmills of Your Mind, Maurice Jarre with Lara’s theme from Doctor Zhivago and Claude-Michel Schönberg with Les Misérables.

Les thèmes musicaux des grands classiques du cinéma seront interprétés par le West End Theatreland de Londres en collaboration avec le Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. Le grand chef d’orchestre Roderick Dunk dirigera l’Ensemble symphonique et les solistes Robyn North et David Shannon, donnant vie à une riche variété de thèmes musicaux français et anglo-saxons du 7e Art.

Pour La Fête, la première partie du concert rendra hommage aux grands compositeurs français de musiques de film, de Michel Legrand avec Un été 42, Un Homme et une Femme et Les Moulins de mon cœur, à Maurice Jarre avec La Chanson de Lara du Docteur Jivago, en passant par Les Misérables de Claude-Michel Schönberg.

Chaiwat Wiansantia (Ja) and Laura Caillaux, the two students selected in 2014 for the exchange program between the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts of Silpakorn University and Paris’ school of Fine Arts (Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris), a program which has been supported by the French Embassy in Thailand for the past ten years, will present the works they created during their crossed residencies of three months in France and Thailand.

ชัยวัช เวียนสันเทียะ และลอรา กายโยซ์ เป็นนักศึกษาที่ได้รับคัดเลือกประจำปี 2557 ในกรอบโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาระหว่างคณะจิตรกรรมประติมากรรมและภาพพิมพ์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร และโรงเรียนศิลปะชั้นสูงแห่งปารีส (ENSBA) ซึ่งเป็นโครงการที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทยมาเป็นเวลามากกว่าสิบปี ทั้งสองคนจะร่วมกันจัดแสดงผลงานที่รังสรรค์ขึ้นมาในช่วงเวลาสามเดือนของชัยวัชในฝรั่งเศสและสามเดือนของลอราที่ประเทศไทย

นับว่าเป็นการแลกเปลี่ยนความสัมพันธ์ฝรั่งเศส-ไทยและเป็นนิทรรศการแห่งความสามารถทางศิลปะของอนาคตอย่างแท้จริง

Resulting from a two-year cooperation between the French company Les Rémouleurs and Chiang Mai puppet masters, this show combines Thai and French traditions, contemporary creation and interplay of light and shadows.

Presented as an exclusive for La Fête, before touring France, this production, entitled Borders, touches upon the theme of migration in a poetic and visual fashion.

Le nouveau spectacle de danse de la compagnie Pokemon Crew est un voyage dans le cinéma des années trente et quarante, dont les comédies musicales ont inspiré certains mouvements de la danse hip hop.

Décors et costumes rappellent les studios de l’époque, à travers une succession de tableaux, aux rythmes variés.

เขาวงกตที่ลึกลับ กลุ่มก้อนที่เป็นประกาย ถ้ำที่มืดมิด ตัวอักษรที่ถอดรหัสแล้ว ความงดงามอันเป็นปริศนาเหล่านี้มาจากที่ไหน มาจากใจกลางภายในร่างกายของสิ่งมีชีวิตซึ่งถ่ายทอดผ่านภาพในระยะเดียวกับที่มองเห็นจากกล้องจุลทรรศน์ มีการเพิ่มตัวละครจากผลงานของจูลส์ เวิร์น นักเขียนที่มีผู้ติดตามผลงานมากที่สุดในบรรดานักเขียนชาวฝรั่งเศสอยู่ในภาพด้วย
ภาพที่นำมาจัดแสดงในนิทรรศการจึงมีอารมณ์ขันและในขณะเดียวกันก็ให้ความรู้ไปด้วย ผลงานนี้เกิดจากการผสมผสานระหว่างการถ่ายภาพ วิทยาศาสตร์และวรรณคดี จัดแสดงในพื้นที่อุทยานเพื่อการเรียนรู้ TK Park !

Magic, dance, juggling, music and video effects are the ingredients for a soothing and poetic show, totally hypnotic, a piece by the 14:20 company, which has developed many prestigious collaborations, such as the ones with the designer Jean-Paul Gaultier or the choreographer Philippe Découflé.

Notte immerses viewers in the dark. A couple on stage plays with illusions, manipulating white juggling balls, appearing, disappearing…

On a soft and moving music, balls continue to fly, lonely, then change shape…

All aboard for an unreal journey, a sweet and beautiful dream…

Magie, danse, jonglage, effets vidéo et musique constituent les ingrédients d’un spectacle apaisant et poétique, totalement hypnotique, œuvre de la compagnie 14:20, qui multiplie les collaborations prestigieuses, comme celles avec le couturier Jean-Paul Gaultier ou encore le chorégraphe Philippe Découflé.

Notte plonge le spectateur dans l’obscurité. Un couple sur scène joue avec les illusions, manipulant balles blanches, apparaissant, disparaissant…

Sur une musique douce et émouvante, les balles continuent à voler, seules, puis changent de forme…

The third time’s the charm, as France’s official Cheese Ambassador to the world, Gérard Poulard, is back by popular demand to our very own Scarlett wine bar & restaurant in June 2014. On this visit, this famed “Maître Fromager”, the Cheese Master, will present his 2014 Collection of Fromages de France, bringing with him 150 varieties of French farmed cheese from the best of France’s boutique producers — available at Scarlett in June & July 2014.

 Since 1999, Gérard Poulard has become internationally renowned as the world’s expert to the enjoyment and presentation of the fine cheeses sought after by gourmet dining restaurants in over 22 countries around the world. In collaboration with his son Olivier, he has received an ever increasing list of prestigious awards for his knowledge regarding France’s most delectable exports, including The Order of Agricultural Merit, the Cordon Bleu France, and the Prosper Montagné from Quality House.

For over 20 years, the Cheese Master has travelled throughout the French countryside discovering its varied history and culture, especially every nuance concerning his favorite topic: cheese. His knowledge about France and its countryside is so vast that he sometimes even knows the name of the goat or cow from which the precious milk has been drawn.

Extremely passionate about cheese and his incredible collection of its knowledge, behind the cheeseboard, in front of the customer, Gérard Poulard impresses and arouses the desire of those who meet him, speaking about the unique flavors of various cheeses and allowing time to look at the cheeseboard. He carefully asks each guest about his cheese palate.

Come to Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant and meet the Cheese Master himself. Gérard Poulard will visit during 7^th – 15^th June to demonstrate his expertise in perfectly arranging the tastes and textures of a wide range of France’s numerous cheeses into various mouthwatering combinations with breads, cold cuts, wines, fruits and teas. Fantastic cheeses such as Fourme Laqueuille Memee Aoc, Rigotte de Condrieux, Bouyguette du Segala Romarin, and so very many more, are on the way.

Among them are a selection of exquisite goat cheeses from France, a lesser known but delicious variety of cheese that possesses numerous health benefits over that made from cow’s milk, including being substantially lower in fat and calories. Goat cheese is also higher in protein and calcium, as well being a good brain food that boosts metabolism and has heart beneficial properties along with other nutrients.
