Chefs and Restaurants Awards 2025
Bangkok’s culinary world came together tonight for the much-anticipated Thailand’s Favourite Restaurants by Koktail Chefs and Restaurants Awards 2025, celebrating the individuals and establishments shaping Thailand’s food scene.
Two chefs and two restaurants received the supreme accolade in the long-established awards hosted by MediaMagination, publisher of Koktail Magazine, Time Out Thailand and Thailand’s Favourite Restaurants, in partnership with Gaysorn Urban Resort.
Chudaree “Tam” Debhakam of Baan Tepa in Bangkok and Davide Garavaglia of Côte by Mauro Colagreco, also in Bangkok, were chosen as Chefs of the Year by a panel of judges who visited more than 300 restaurants across the country. These two chefs epitomised culinary innovation and consistency—two essential pillars of world-class dining.
The Restaurants of the Year accolades went to INDDEE and Mezzaluna, both in Bangkok, which stood out for their exceptional dining experiences. From the moment guests arrived, these restaurants impressed with outstanding service, innovative dishes and exceptional beverage pairings, combining classic and low-intervention choices to elevate the overall experience.
Nigel Oakins, director of MediaMagination, commented: “The incredible turnout tonight of more than 700 chefs, restaurateurs and gourmands is a wonderful recognition of the 23 years we have produced our annual guide to Thailand’s best and favourite restaurants.” “Over the years, plenty of lists have come and gone, but the fact that we review in person every restaurant we feature, has stood the test of time. Many congratulations to all this year’s awardees, each represents the pinnacle of the fabulous dining options that Thailand offers.” Here are some highlights of the awards.

The full list of Thailand’s Favourite Restaurants by Koktail Chefs and Restaurants Awards 2025 is at the end of this press release.
The event was officially opened by Nigel Oakins, Director of MediaMagination, who welcomed over 700 attendees, including chefs, restaurateurs, and members of the hospitality industry plus other VIP guests.
Following his speech, Patrick Martens, Director of Food & Beverage at Ratchaprasong Food Services, and Pimnapat Ponglertpokin, Head of Card Usage, United Overseas Bank (Thai) PCL, shared their remarks.
Some 102 awards in total were presented over the course of the evening to chefs and restaurants from across Thailand who had gathered to hear the results and congratulate the winners. The Thailand’s Favourite Restaurants team have been presenting awards for more than two decades, helping to promote the country as a fine dining destination. The impressive turnout from the hospitality and restaurant industry demonstrates that these awards remain the most significant in the sector.
The rating of each restaurant will be featured in Thailand’s Favourite Restaurants by Koktail 2025 guidebook. Thailand’s best-selling restaurant guide will feature more than 300 restaurant reviews by expert food writers with rating for food, setting, drinks and service. The release date for the guidebook is set for January next year.
