Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit invites diners to discover the exquisite flavours and beautifully presented cuisine by two starred Michelin Chef Parick Jeffroy in the sophisticated surroundings of Parisian-styled rooftop bar and restaurant, L’ Appart.
A master of French cuisine renowned for his inventive fish and seafood cookery, Chef Patrick delights diners with the flavours of his native Brittany and the inspiration from his global travels.
In L’ Appart’s elegant setting, guests can enjoy Chef Patrick’s a la carte menu featuring a choice of five appetizers, five main dishes and four desserts.
Diners can begin their evening with a choice of appetizers that include Thai broth with foie gras, milk tofu and oyster, and abalone with girolle mushrooms, green peas garlic and watercress butter.
Highlights from the main course selection will be roasted whole onion stuffed with braised oxtail, and guinea fowl supreme with black cake and chestnut crusted thighs, with decadent desserts to end a Michelin star dining experience will include crispy crepes mille-feuille served
Suzette style, and meringue shell with curdled cream and fresh raspberries. To complement the cuisine L’Appart’s restaurant manager, Jonathan Sik Sik, will also offer a selection of fine wines by the glass and by the bottle. Highlight dish is at THB 1,450++.
Chef Patrick’s passion for cooking was ignited by his family who owned a traditional bistro in the town of Morlaix. At the age of just 15 he began working in restaurants from Brest to Paris, learning his art from some of the country’s top chefs.
In 1984, he was the appointed chef of the Restaurant de l’Europe where he quickly earned his first Michelin star. Chef Patrick then went on to open his own restaurant in Plounérin and was soon awarded his second Michelin star. In 2000, he took the helm at the Hôtel de la Falaise, renaming it L’Hôtel de Carantec and gaining two Michelin stars in two years.
A champion of Brittany’s distinctive culinary culture and a lover of fresh produce, Chef Patrick has been creative highly revered cuisine for more than 45 years. Today, he is held in the highest esteem and continues to push boundaries by reinventing rustic regional French dishes with his typical French panache. According to the influential French restaurant guide, Gault et Millau, Chef Patrick’s cooking has “the intelligence of the sea…which means he can find combinations that are harmonious, new, established, spicy, Asian, botanical, farmhouse-inspired, exotic…Whatever the dish, his guiding principle of staying close to nature is always evident.”
