Banyan Tree Bangkok is delighted to announce the appointment of Christoph Trocker as the new Executive Chef.
In his role as Executive Chef, Chef Christoph oversees the culinary excellence throughout the hotel. From the range of gourmet restaurants offering everything from Thai fine dining, international and Asian gastronomic experiences to Bangkok’s iconic roof top bar and restaurant, as well as banqueting facilities and the two dining cruises Apsara and Saffron Cruise. At Banyan Tree Bangkok guests are truly able to find a suitable dining venue for every occasion.
Chef Christoph is a seasoned professional who has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious hotel brands, including Jumeirah and Hyatt. Chef Christoph discovered his love for culinary arts early in his teens and received his degree in 1997. He began his career in his homeland Austria, followed by Switzerland and Germany, before continuing his journey to more far-flung destinations and finally taking his career path east where he also perfected his skills in fine dining.
Chef Christoph also supervised banquets and wedding receptions with over 3,400 square meters of event space, and further gained incredible experience in this field during his work in Shenzhen and Shanghai in China.
Prior to joining Banyan Tree Bangkok, Chef Christoph led the team at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok, where he successfully ran four restaurants with high passion. With nearly three decades of experience in the culinary industry, Chef Christoph is sure to bring a wealth of expertise to the team and memorable dining experiences to the guests.
