Yon | Ocean House welcomes celebrated Michelin Chef for two evenings of immersive gastronomy. Highlights include a 5-course featuring the Chef’s signature Franco-Japanese flavours and a fantastical dessert course inspired by Japanese conceptual artist Yayoi Kusama

Yon | Ocean House in Ao Yon Bay, Phuket is pleased to announce “Michelin Evening with Chef Charles Coulombeau”, an exclusive 2-night culinary event on 4-5 July 2025. Globally-renowned for pairing haute French techniques with an artistic Japanese vibe and pan Asian flavours, Chef Charles is Head Chef of 1-Michelin Star La Maison dans le Parc and 1-Michelin Star Yozora, both in the Lorraine region of northeastern France.

Michelin Evening with Chef Charles Coulombeau  will be held at Yon | Ocean House, V Villas Phuket – MGallery Collection’s architecturally-distinguished hilltop restaurant with panoramic views across Ao Yon Bay and the Andaman Sea. The exclusive pop-up event is offered at THB 4,990++ per person, with optional wine pairing at an additional charge.

About Chef Charles:

Originally from the Lorraine region of northeastern France, Chef Charles is renowned for his creative Franco-Asian pairings, his use of sustainable local ingredients, and his commitment to blending art and food.

In addition to overseeing 1-Michelin Star La Maison Dans Parc, Chef Charles is the founder and head chef at 1-Michelin Star Yozora where the menu combines fresh ingredients from the Lorraine region of France with enchanting flavours and aesthetics of Japan. Chef Charles chose a former museum as the site for Yoroza, because he wished to elevate gastronomy as a form of art.

Chef Charles’ accomplishments include winning the prestigious 2020 Les Taittinger Culinary Award, the “Everest” of culinary prizes. At 28 years old, he became the Sous Chef at La Maison Dans Parc and led the haute French restaurant to its first Michelin Star. Chef Charles’ current restaurant Yorazo was awarded a Michelin star within one year of opening.

Michelin Evening is a must for those interested in Franco-Japanese flavours and art. The event’s 5-course menu promises to be a masterclass in creativity and balance, whilst showcasing Chef Charles’ command of French and Japanese cuisine.

The evening’s highlight will be a passion fruit dessert course inspired by Japanese conceptual artist Yayoi Kusama.  Chef Charles’ will present passion fruit in wildly whimsical, colorful, and highly textural presentations — creating an immersive sensory experience that is both visually stunning and delicious.
