The Okura Prestige Bangkok has great pleasure in announcing that MOF chocolatier Chef Frédéric Hawecker will be visiting the hotel on 12 March 2019 to create special French mignardises with Japanese influences at Up & Above Bar between 2 – 5 p.m.
A native of the south of France, Chef Frédéric was awarded the prestigious Meilleurs Ouvrier de France title in 2011. Un des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (shortened to MOF) denotes that the recipient is one of the best craftsmen in France in his field. This award for special abilities is unique in the world and highly regarded by fellow professionals.
Chef Frédéric previously taught at Ecole Nationale Superieure de Patisserie in Yssingeaux, France and currently consults and conducts classes around the world. In 2002 he opened his own chocolate shop and patisserie in Chateaurenard, a few miles from Avignon.
At Up & Above Bar Chef Frédéric will be putting his considerable skills into a selection of mignardises such as goji and osmanthus, rising sun, blue mountain and matcha cheesecake, all of which can be enjoyed as special additions to the Tsubaki Afternoon Tea set.
