In 1515, at the age of twenty, Francis I was crowned king of France. His early military successes, his youth and spirit fired the whole country with enthusiasm.
Builder of castles and patron, he surrounded himself with the most illustrious artists, poets, musicians, architects, engineers of the Renaissance, including Leonardo da Vinci.
Young, athletic and excellent dancer, he organized entertainments and celebrations, the so-called “Magnificences”, in which all the artists were asked to take part.
For the opening of La Fête, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the French Renaissance Doulce Mémoire revives the atmosphere of the great festivities as they must have taken place at the court of the king Francis I, a joyful and festive Renaissance event.
With music, singing, dancing, acrobatics and sumptuous costumes, Doulce Mémoire invites you to travel back in time to the court of the kings of France!
