French ambassador Mr Gilles Garachon presided over the opening ceremony of the annual Bonjour French Fair 2017 at the Queen Sirikit Convention Centre. This year the popular fair is being held under the theme “Oh La La ! Christmas Market” and will run until Sunday 17 December.

A total of 17 restaurants recognized by Michelin stars, including Thai street food, in the very first selection of the MICHELIN Guide Bangkok!
Michelin is pleased to unveil the first selection for the MICHELIN Guide Bangkok, which features a total of 98 restaurants. This selection highlights how the city embraces international dining without abandoning its own heritage and authentic cuisine – which draws millions of visitors worldwide.
Acclaimed French chef Jean-Marc Banzo, a native of Aix-en-Provence in the South of France, was recently invited as guest chef at the renowned Fireplace Grill and Bar. The former two -Michelin-starred chef who has now turned professional restaurant consultant presented a classy, yet delightfully inspired approach to French cuisine. The much loved traditional recipes that we were indulged with were beautifully created with the blend of sophistication and the subtle uses of innovative techniques.
Dr. Navamintr Vitayakul of Ruen Urai Fine Thai Cuisine recently welcomed distinguished food connoisseurs at a dinner party held in an elegant atmosphere of the restaurant’s private dining room. The special occasion was to introduce the latest addition of several delicious all time favourite Isaan dishes to complement the house’s usual delightful menu.
Japanese Chef Hiroaki Ishizuka of 1 Michelin star Kien restaurant in the Akasaka district, Tokyo, conducted a cooking demonstration session exclusively at the 18th World Gourmet Festival, a major gastronomic event in Bangkok, hosted annually by Anantara Siam Bangkok.
The dish presented on this occasion was a “Kuruma Prawn in Japanese Pumpkin Dumpling, Slow Cooked Duck Breast, Snow Peas”, which was one of the delightful 5-course menu served during the festival.
