Park Hyatt Bangkok X Nova Contemporary: Championing Emerging Thai Talent
Park Hyatt Bangkok, where art has been a defining pillar of the hotel’s identity since its opening, continues its collaboration with Nova Contemporary with a new exhibition by emerging Thai artist Padungsub Prachanan (Padung), on view from 24 September to 24 November 2026.
The exhibition reflects Park Hyatt Bangkok’s philosophy of creating meaningful connections between art, design, culture and hospitality, while providing a platform for the next generation of Thai creative talent. As art continues to shape the character and guest experience of the hotel, the collaboration with Nova Contemporary extends this commitment by bringing contemporary Thai artistic voices into dialogue with Park Hyatt Bangkok’s established collection.
A graduate of Silpakorn University’s Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Padung follows a lineage of Thai artists closely connected to the hotel, including acclaimed artist Chatchai Puipia, also a Silpakorn University alumnus. Chatchai’s works form part of Park Hyatt Bangkok’s permanent art collection, while his longstanding relationship with the hotel’s ownership brings an added layer of significance to this latest collaboration.
For this presentation, Padung explores landscape as a space shaped by memory, perception and lived experience. Moving between Thailand and Switzerland has influenced the way he observes terrain, vegetation, light and atmosphere, with impressions from different places gradually informing one another. His paintings move beyond straightforward representation, reflecting instead on how places remain in memory and how those memories shift through experience.
Featured works include Nothing Much Happened (2026), A Forest in Geneva (2026), Another Field in the Same Place 1 (2026) and Another Field in the Same Place 3 (2026). Together, the four works reflect Padung’s continued interest in how place, memory and visual experience intersect across different cultural and geographic contexts.
The exhibition further reflects Park Hyatt Bangkok’s ongoing commitment to supporting emerging Thai artists and providing a platform where art, design, community and hospitality come together. Through its collaboration with Nova Contemporary, the hotel continues to foster local creative talent and bring Thai artistic perspectives to an international audience.
