Galleries Night press conference at the French Embassy in Bangkok
Galleries’ Night, nocturnal urban “ARTracks” dedicated to contemporary art, is coming back for a third edition on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November.
Launched in 2013, Galleries’ Night is nowadays a highlight of the cultural season in Bangkok bringing together, year after year, a larger audience of curious and art lovers.
Part of the last two editions of “La Fête” festival, Galleries’ Night is becoming, this year, an independent event, inviting a large audience to discover, to visit and to appreciate contemporary artistic creation for two nights “ARTracks”.
During the event, Galleries’ Night turns the City of Angels into a large, surprising, festive and friendly open-museum, full of the colors of the contemporary art in all its forms.
Focused on the theme of “The Light”, this third edition of Galleries’ Night will last two nights and gathers 38 galleries and art spaces located in Bangkok, which will especially open from 7 pm until late, along the two BTS lines: Silom Line / Riverside on Friday 27 November and Sukhumvit Line on Saturday 28 November.
On the occasion of COP 21, due to take place in Paris from November 30th to December 11th, Galleries’ Night will also include an environmental dimension, through an artwork created especially at the French Embassy by the French light designer Matteo Messervy, with the support of Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd. This artwork, which will floodlight the front face of the new building of the French Embassy, will launch the event on Friday 27 November and will last until the end of the Conférence de Paris, on Friday 11 December.
A brand new mobile application, created especially for this occasion, will enrich the two “ARTracks” and allow participants to find all the information they need to enjoy the experience even more: maps, schedules of the exhibitions and the events organized by the galleries and art spaces.

The Ferry Gallery
Gallery is actually on the ferryboat that will cross over the river and during the Galleries’ Night. It will connect to several piers on the Bangkok and Thonburi side of the river starts at 19:00 pm.

Galleries’Night เคยเป็นกิจกรรมที่รวมอยู่กับเทศกาลวัฒนธรรมฝรั่งเศส-ไทย ลาแฟ็ต จัดโดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทย ปีนี้ จัดแยกออกมาเพื่อให้ประชาชนทั่วไปได้เยี่ยมชม ค้นพบและชื่นชมกับผลงานจากศิลปะได้อย่างเต็มที่
ตลอดทั้งสองคืน Galleries’night เปิดกรุงเทพมหานครเป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์กลางแจ้งขนาดใหญ่ ที่ประดับประดาด้วยสีสันมากมายหลายรูปแบบของศิลปะร่วมสมัย อันน่าประหลาดใจ สนุกสนานและเป็นกันเอง
สำหรับครั้งที่สามนี้ Galleries’night จัดขึ้นภายใต้หัวข้อ “แสง” และขยายออกเป็นสองคืนที่รวบรวมแกลเลอรี่และพื้นที่ศิลปะจำนวนสามสิบแปดแห่ง เปิดให้ชมตั้งแต่ 19.00 น. เป็นต้นไป ตามเส้นทางบีทีเอส ในวันที่ 27 พ.ย. เป็นสายสีลมและบริเวณริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา และวันที่ 28 พ.ย. บีทีเอสสายสุขุมวิท
และเนื่องในโอกาสที่ประเทศฝรั่งเศสเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมรัฐภาคีอนุสัญญาสหประชาชาติว่าด้วยการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศสมัยที่ 21 ณ กรุงปารีส (COP 21) ตั้งแต่วันที่ 30 พฤศจิกายนถึงวันที่ 11 ธันวาคม Galleries’Night ได้นำผลงานศิลปะอันสื่อถึงสิ่งแวดล้อมจากศิลปินชาวฝรั่งเศส Matteo Messervy ที่รังสรรค์ขึ้นเพื่องานนี้โดยเฉพาะ สนับสนุนโดยบริษัท ฟิลิปส์ อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด ผลงานศิลปะชุดนี้จะเต็มไปด้วยแสงสีสว่างไสว จัดแสดง ณ บริเวณพื้นผิวด้านหน้าตึกที่ทำการหลังใหม่ของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทยในวันเปิดงานคืนวันศุกร์ที่ 27 พฤศจิกายนและจะติดตั้งไว้จนถึงวันที่ 11 ธันวาคม
ปีนี้ Galleries’Night มีแอปพลิเคชั่นสำหรับสมาร์ทโฟนให้ดาวน์โหลดโดยเฉพาะ แอปพลิเคชั่นนี้จะอำนวยความสะดวกท่านในการค้นหาข้อมูลที่เป็นประโยชน์และส่องแสงสว่างเส้นทางชมแกลเลอรี่ในค่ำคืน มีทั้งแผนที่และตำแหน่งของแกลเลอรี่ รวมทั้งรายละเอียดการจัดงานนิทรรศการ อีกทั้งยังเป็นพื้นที่แบ่งปันความรู้สึกและการพบกันทางด้านศิลปะ

L’événement Galleries’ Night, parcours urbain nocturne entièrement dédié à l’art contemporain, revient pour sa troisième édition, vendredi 27 et samedi 28 novembre 2015.
Lancé en 2013, Galleries’ Night est maintenant un moment fort de la saison culturelle à Bangkok. Cet événement a su réunir, au fil de ses éditions, un public toujours plus large de connaisseurs, d’amateurs ou de néophytes.
Précédemment intégré au sein du festival culturel La Fête, Galleries’ Night devient cette année un événement à part entière.
Pendant deux nuits, Galleries’ Night transformera la Cité des Anges en un gigantesque et surprenant musée à ciel ouvert, invitant le public à découvrir, visiter et apprécier toute la diversité et la vitalité de la création contemporaine.
Cette troisième édition de Galleries’ Night aura pour thème « La Lumière » et réunira 38 espaces et galeries d’art, qui resteront spécialement ouverts pour l’événement, de 19h00 jusqu’à tard dans la nuit, le long des deux lignes de BTS : Silom line / quartier Riverside, le vendredi 27 novembre, et Sukhumvit line, le samedi 28 novembre. Ces événements couvriront un champ large de la création contemporaine et le public pourra assister à des vernissages ou clôtures d’exposition, rencontrer des artistes, découvrir des performances en direct ou encore participer à des concerts.
En cette année de COP 21, Galleries’ Night intègrera, en outre, une forte dimension environnementale, grâce à la production d’une projection lumineuse artistique, à l’Ambassade de France en Thaïlande, réalisée par le designer français Matteo Messervy, grâce au soutien de l’entreprise Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd. Cette œuvre d’art, qui illuminera la façade du nouveau bâtiment de l’Ambassade de France en Thaïlande, célèbrera l’ouverture de la Galeries’ Night, le vendredi 27 novembre, et durera jusqu’au vendredi 11 décembre, date de la fin de la Conférence de Paris.
Une application mobile, créée spécialement pour l’occasion, viendra, enfin, enrichir les parcours de visite, en permettant aux participants de trouver toutes les informations essentielles pour profiter pleinement de l’évènement : géolocalisation des galeries et espaces d’art, date et heure des événements, lieux d’intérêts et autres surprises qui jalonneront ces deux soirées.
