Bangkok, 22 April 2014 - The city of angels will once again witness, for the sixth consecutive year, a gathering of Executive Chefs from 22 of Thailand’s most prestigious five-star hotels and Thai Airways International, who will cook up yet another grand feast at the “2014 Bangkok Chefs Charity Gala Dinner”, scheduled for Monday, 21 July 2014 at 6.30 pm; to be presided over once again by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in the Royal Ballroom of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok.
Part of the proceeds this year will again benefit Border Patrol Police Schools under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness; and the remaining funds to go towards improvements in the livelihood and education of underprivileged children in the remote Omkoy district in Chiang Mai.
Tickets are @ Baht 12,500. – nett per seat (for tables of 10).
The annual talk-of-the-town, gastronomic fete was initiated in 2009 by General Managers Nuntiya and Patcharin Hame-ung-gull of Gourmet One, importerand supplier of fine foods. Taking advantage of their contacts and connections, the two sisters came up with this fundraiser idea to give back to society and at the same time to showcase the quality, creativity and distinct style of Bangkok’s foremost food & beverage professionals.
The inaugural edition of “Bangkok Chefs Charity” was launched in 2009 in the gracious presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, with all proceeds collected going towards Her Royal Highness’s Sai Jai Thai Foundation and needy children and schools in Northern Thailand. Over five million baht, raised from auctions and ticket sales at the 2010 charity gala, benefitted the Border Patrol Police Schools under Her Royal Highness’s Patronage and went towards scholarships, educational equipment, food, and children’s playgrounds at schools in Ubon Ratchani province. In 2011, the culinary fundraising dinner and auction collected more than 12 million baht. Her Royal Highness was presented with a cheque for 10 million baht to benefit Border Patrol Police Schools under Her Patronage; and the remaining funds were used to purchase educational equipment for children at Baan Daan Ngo School, Amphur Kaeng Krachang, Petchburi province; Wat Sangvorn School; and handicapped school children at Baan Nonthaphoom, Amphur Pakkret, Nonthaburi province. In 2012, the benefit gala dinner collected a total of Baht 12 million – with Baht 10 million presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn; and the remaining towards repairing of underprivileged school in Omkoy district in Chiang Mai.
Last year, the charity gala dinner successfully pledged a grand total of Baht 17 million, the highest ever since its inception. A cheque of Baht 15 million was presented to Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on 17 October 2013.
During the finale of the evening, the highest bidder for the Grand Auction will enjoy the 22 chefs to cook a gourmet repast at any venue of choice and will be invited to present the donation cheque to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at an appropriate date and time following the charity gala.
At the “2014 Bangkok Chefs Charity Gala Dinner”, scheduled for Monday 21 July 2014 at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, the 22 culinary extraordinaires will pair up to create the finest signature dish with a subtle infusion of Thai essence to express their love and passion of the exotic Orient.
The 10-course feast will be paired with some of the finest wines by Thailand’s leading suppliers with charitable hearts; Italthai, ItalAsia, Vanichwathana (Bangkok) Co.,Ltd., BB&B, and Wine Dee Dee.

จัดขึ้นเป็นปีที่ 6 แล้ว สำหรับงานดินเน่อร์การกุศลที่รวบรวมเชฟใหญ่จากโรงแรมชั้นนำระดับ 5 ดาวของประเทศไทย 23 ท่านรวมพ่อครัวใหญ่จากบริษัทการบินไทย ที่จะร่วมกันปรุงอาหารในงาน Bangkok Chefs Charity 2014ในวันจันทร์ที่ 21 กรกฎาคม 2557 เวลา 18.30 น. โดยสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี เสด็จเป็นองค์ประธาน ณ ห้องรอยัลบอลรูม โรงแรมแมนดาริน โอเรียนเต็ล กรุงเทพฯ ภายในงานจะมีการระดมทุนเพื่อหารายได้ขึ้นทูลเกล้าฯ ถวายสมเด็จพระเทพ รัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี เพื่อพระราชทานแก่โรงเรียนตำรวจตระเวนชายแดน ตามพระราชอัธยาศัย ดังเช่นทุกปีที่ผ่านมา และนอกเหนือจากนั้นรายได้บางส่วนจะถูกนำไปช่วยเหลือโรงเรียนเด็กชาวเขายากจน ในอำเภออมก๋อย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่
งานใหญ่อันเป็นที่กล่าวขานทุกๆ ปีของนักชิมนี้ ได้จัดขึ้นตั้งแต่ปี 2552 โดยผู้จัดการทั่วไป นันทิยา และ พัชรินทร์ เหมอังกูร บริษัท กูร์เมท์ วัน จำกัดผู้นำเข้าอาหารพรีเมี่ยมรายใหญ่ ด้วยที่ทั้งสองพี่น้องเป็นที่รู้จักในวงสังคมมากมาย จึงมีไอเดียจัดงานการกุศลขึ้นเพื่อคืนกำไรสู่สังคม และในขณะเดียวกันยังเป็นโอกาสที่ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านอาหารและเครื่องดื่มจะได้นำเสนอความเป็นมืออาชีพทั้งด้านคุณภาพและความคิดสร้างสรรค์ระดับแถวหน้าอีกด้วย
งาน Bangkok Chefs Charity เริ่มครั้งแรกขึ้นในปี 2009 โดยรายได้ทั้งหมดมอบให้มูลนิธิสายใจไทย และ เด็กนักเรียนชาวเขาในภาคเหนือ ต่อมาในปี 2010 รายได้จาการประมูลและการขายบัตรทั้งหมดกว่า 5 ล้านบาท ทางคณะกรรมการได้นำขึ้นทูลเกล้าฯ ถวายสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี เพื่อพระราชทาน แก่โรงเรียนตำรวจตระเวนชายแดน ตามพระราชอัธยาศัย และนอกเหนือจากนั้นนำไปมอบเป็นทุนการศึกษา อุปกรณ์การศึกษา อาหารกลางวัน และสนามเด็กเล่น ให้กับโรงเรียนในจังหวัดอุบลราชธานี ในปี 2011 รายได้ จากการประมูลและการขายบัตรทั้งหมดกว่า 12 ล้านบาท ทางคณะกรรมการได้นำขึ้นทูลเกล้าฯ ถวายสมเด็จ พระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี จำนวน 10 ล้านบาท เพื่อพระราชทานแก่โรงเรียนตำรวจตระเวน ชายแดน ตามพระราชอัธยาศัย และนอกนั้นได้นำซื้ออุปกรณ์การศึกษามอบให้เด็กนักเรียนยากจน โรงเรียน บ้านด่านโง อำเภอแก่งกระจาน จังหวัดเพชรบุรี โรงเรียนวัดสังวร และเด็กนักเรียนพิการซ้ำซ้อนที่สามารถไปเรียนได้ ของบ้านนทภูมิ อำเภอปากเกร็ด จังหวัดนนทบุรี ในปี 2013 รายได้จากการประมูลและการขายบัตร ทั้งหมดกว่า17 ล้านบาท ซึ่งจะนำไปสมทบทุนช่วยเหลือโรงเรียนตำรวจตระเวนชายแดน ในพระอุปถัมภ์ ของสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดา สยามบรมราชกุมารี เป็นจำนวนเงิน 15 ล้านบาท และส่วนที่เหลือนำไปสร้างอาคารเรียน ซ่อมแซมระบบสาธารณูปโภค ซื้ออุปกรณ์การเรียนการสอน อุปกรณ์กีฬา ให้กับโรงเรียนเด็กยากจนในถิ่นทุรกันดารให้กับโรงเรียนเด็กยากจนในอำเภออมก๋อย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่
เมื่อปีที่ผ่านมางานกาล่าดินเนอร์การกุศลประสบความสำเร็จเป็นอย่างมาก โดยทำรายได้สูงถึง 17 ล้านบาทซึ่งเป็นรายได้ที่สูงที่สุดตั้งแต่มีการจัดงานมา และได้ทูลเกล้าฯ ถวายรายได้จากการจัดงานเป็นจำนวนเงิน 15 ล้านบาทแด่สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ในวันที่ 17 ตุลาคม 2556
งานกาล่าดินเน่อร์ ในปี 2014 นี้ช่วงท้ายของงานผู้ที่ประมูลได้สูงสุด จะได้เชฟทั้ง 22 ท่านไปปรุงอาหารให้เป็นพิเศษตามที่ผู้ประมูลได้ต้องการตามความสะดวก และจะได้ร่วมเข้าเฝ้าฯ ถวายรายได้แด่สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี หลังจากงานกาล่าดินเนอร์ต่อไป
Bangkok Chefs Charity 2014 ปีนี้ จะจัดขึ้นในวันจันทร์ที่ 21 กรกฎาคม 2557 ที่โรงแรมแมนดาริน โอเรียนเต็ล กรุงเทพฯ โดยเชฟใหญ่ 23ท่านได้จัดเตรียมอาหารจานพิเศษที่หลากหลายรวมทั้งมีการผสมผสานกลิ่นอายความเป็นไทยที่บ่งบอกถึงใจรักที่มีในการทำอาหารให้ได้ลิ้มลอง
