The GOAT X RABBIT Wine Dinner celebrates the harmonious creativity between Chef Pakorn ‘Tan’ Kosiyabong and GranMonte Vineyard and Winery. This event will also mark the debut of Goat Bangkok’s new menu, featuring all-new canapé bites while retaining the signature dishes beloved by many.
The event highlights the compatibility of the Year of the Goat and the Year of the Rabbit, reflecting a partnership rooted in creativity and tranquility. Chef Tan, born in the Year of the Goat, collaborates with GranMonte Vineyard & Winery, established in 1999 (Year of the Rabbit) and home to Nikki Lohitnavy, also born in the Year of the Rabbit. Nikki Lohitnavy, the talented winemaker and daughter of the family estate of GranMonte, brings her expertise and passion for winemaking to this unique dining experience celebrating their artistic synergy.
GranMonte Vineyard and Winery, located in Khao Yai’s Asoke Valley, is an international award-winning vineyard nestled among the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Khao Yai National Park and it’s currently the only Thai wine with GI status (Geographical Indication). GranMonte is a national pride of Thailand, offering premium wines crafted from Khao Yai’s unique terroir. Nikki Lohitnavy leads the winemaking process, ensuring the highest quality and expression of the region’s terroir.
Established in 2020, Goat Bangkok reflects Chef Tan’s love for Sino-Portuguese architecture, blending Chinese elements with Western influences. The restaurant offers offbeat Asian cuisine, with ingredients sourced predominantly from local farms. Chef Tan, inspired by his Thai-Chinese heritage and global travels, creates a menu that combines Oriental and Occidental flavors, promising a culinary journey through diverse ingredients and cooking techniques. The heart of this menu was formed around seasonal ingredients and the different provinces in Thailand that are home to the plethora of fruits, vegetables, fish, and meats used. Additionally, the sustainable methods in which these ingredients are harvested from within the local communities in each province are highlighted throughout the dining experience.
For two magical nights, Chef Tan and GranMonte Vineyard and Winery will honour Thai terroir through creative gastronomy and fine wine pairings at Goat Bangkok.
