The Sukhothai Bangkok proudly introduces its first ever ‘Mixologist Event’ and warmly welcomes Guillermo Gonzalez, Mixologist and leader of HPS – Hiding in Plain Sight Amsterdam to The Zuk Bar where he will be seen shaking Bangkok’s cocktail society!
Born in Argentina, raised in the United States and refined in Europe, Guillermo is a former DJ who has been spinning in various bars and clubs around the world for over 20 years, an experience that gave him insight into how to open and run a successful cocktail bar. He settled down at HPS Amsterdam and now uses his tastes and creativity to mix drinks as opposed to records.
Hiding in Plain Sight, or HPS as it is commonly called, is a secret society of cocktail lovers hidden on the outskirts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The bar offers carefully handcrafted cocktails in an elegant yet cozy environment.
Four sets of cocktail paired with snack by 3-Michelin Star Chef Jacob Jan Boerma for only 800++ per set.
1. Dill-Icious Mule paired with Crispy polenta with smoked trout and young herbs, lemon gel with avocado and Bali spices
2. Beetlejuice paired with Thin sliced tuna fish with smoked duck liver, basil cream and Garam Masala
3. HPS House Old Fashioned paired with Lukewarm oyster with a smoked puree of spinach and potato, broth infused with squid, marrow and Parsley
4. Spanish Inquisition paired with Tartar of salmon with caviar and lime, fresh salad of sweet and sour cucumber and daikon

กิแอร์โมเกิดที่ประเทศประเทศอาร์เจนตินา เติบโตที่สหรัฐอเมริกา และย้ายมาทำงานที่ยุโรป โดยก่อนหน้านี้เขาทำงานเป็นดีเจและเดินทางเปิดแผ่นในคลับบาร์ชื่อดังมาแล้วทั่วโลกกว่า 20 ปี จากประสบการ์เหล่านี้เองที่ทำให้เขาเรียนรู้การบริหารค็อกเทลบาร์ให้ประสบความสำเร็จ เขาจึงตัดสินใจเปลี่ยนอาชีพจากการสร้างความสนุกด้วยเสียงดนตรีเป็นการสรรสร้างค็อกเทลรสเลิศด้วยความคิดสร้างสรรค์และจินตนาการของเขาเอง
Hiding in Plain Sight หรือที่นิยมเรียกสั้นๆว่า HPS บาร์เล็กๆที่เป็นที่นิยมอย่างมากในหมู่ผู้ที่ชื่นชอบการดื่มค็อกเทล ซ่อนตัวอยู่ในแถบชานเมืองของอัมสเตอร์ดัม โดยเน้นเสิร์ฟเฉพาะค็อกเทลสูตรพิเศษที่บรรจงสร้างสรรค์สำหรับบาร์นี้เท่านั้น ภายใต้บรรยายกาศอันหรูหราแต่เป็นกันเองของพนักงานและมิกโซโลจิสต์
