Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok is delighted to welcome back one of Germany’s most celebrated chefs, Thomas Bühner, who will be a special guest at Le Normandie. Bühner is the owner and head chef of La Vie restaurant in Osnabrück, Germany. The restaurant holds three Michelin stars and 19 Gault Millau points.
Austrian Ambassador H.E. Mr Enno Drofenik opened Austria’s Big Bottles Party recently at the Centara Grand at Central World. The event showcased 31 different Austrian wines and sparklings presented by Dr. Raimund Cerny and his team of Thai Sommeliers.

“Osaka with a Twist” takes on inspiration from popular dishes of Osaka combined with Thai flavours to tickle the taste buds of local food lovers. While the menu displays a “Japanese look”, the dishes offer a spicy “Authentic Thai taste”, a perfect mix of Thai and Japanese cuisine, available throughout May – June 2017.

Thailand to launch MICHELIN Guide Bangkok to promote fine dining
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has entered into a partnership with Michelin Travel Partner to publish a Bangkok edition of the prestigious Michelin Guide. The aim is to allow food lovers to explore Thailand’s culinary scene, raise the profile of Thai restaurants and boost the economy. The first guide is expected to be released by the end of 2017.
