The House on Sathorn announced recently the opening of Paii, heralding a new chapter in the culinary offering of the historic, 130-year old landmark. Taking its name from the Thai word ‘Paii’ (พาย), which means to paddle, the new restaurant presents the best of local and imported seafood while honouring the legacy of the founder of The House on Sathorn, Luang Sathorn Rajayutka, who created Sathorn Canal.

Gastronomic Association Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Thailand, led by Bailli Délégué Arto Artinian held a dinner in celebration of French culinary arts at 2-Michelin starred Le Normandie restaurant. For this very special evening Chef Arnaud Dunand Sauthier created a fantastic 6-course menu paired with delightful wines from different regions of France. The objective of the Chaîne is to help promote fine dining as well as develop the art of gastronomic cuisine.

Odette, Singapore, Lands the No.1 Spot
The 2019 list of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, was announced at an awards ceremony at Wynn Palace, Macao. After holding the No.1 spot for four consecutive years, Gaggan in Bangkok moves to No.2, acceding to Odette in Singapore. Chef Julien Royer’s Odette claims the coveted titles of The Best Restaurant in Asia, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, and The Best Restaurant in Singapore. Gaggan retains the title of The Best Restaurant in Thailand.
